Why I Love Downtown Las Vegas

By Chris Linch

Freemont street in downtown Las Vegas gives you a true feel for the old Las Vegas. The strip is a very nice area full of luxury high rise hotels and expensive meals and gambling, where as you can go downtown and get your old school Vegas fix, gamble and have fun and stay in some pretty nice properties while you are at it.

You can easily learn a new table game in Binion's in Las Vegas. I have gambled there every time I went. They will teach you how to play if you don't know how, plus you get taught by hot girls for the most part, particularly on Black Jack. They also have the Coffee shop which is an excellent restaurant where you can eat cheap in Las Vegas. You can also get a free picture with the Binion's Million.

The pit bosses at other downtown casinos have said there are some issues with the Golden Nugget so I have never stayed there, or even gambled there for that matter, but I do still like their Shark Tank. They have a massive aquarium in the middle of their pool and they even have a waterslide that runs through it. At least get in and check it out, and who knows I may be wrong they might be a great property.

Before I became a Las Vegas freak so to speak, I stayed at the 4 Queens. This was my very first trip downtown and I loved it. I think that is why I always make sure I get back. I love this hotel because you can gamble and they will continue to bring you drinks. It is easy to get waited on, and the place is pretty nice. The hotel is old, but like I said it is a piece of history.

So to wrap this up I have given you 3 hotels that I think are worth checking out downtown. There is also the Freemont, the Plaza and the Golden Gate the original Shrimp Cocktail in Vegas was invented there. I am thinking about visitng more of these hotels so once I get that done, look out for another article. - 30230
